An early penalty from Alan Keane was enough to ease Sligo, last year’s beaten finalists, into the quarter-finals as they edged this northwest derby at Finn Park.

Defender Packie Mailey upended striker Matthew Blinkhorn and Keane confidently drove his penalty past Gavin Cullen on 15 minutes for the only goal of the game.
