Monaghan continue streak with Cup win

Monaghan kept their terrific season on the boil as they won this all First Division clash at Turner’s Cross.

Mick Cooke’s side have an EA Sports Cup final to look forward to next month and are riding high in second place in the First Division table.

Topscorer Philly Hughes was Monaghan’s hero with the only goal of the game on 31 minutes.

Out-muscling defender Neal Horgan, Hughes rifled his shot low past Mark McNulty.
