Jelavic in frame for Rangers

Nikica Jelavic is free to make his Rangers debut in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League clash with St Johnstone after being granted a work permit.

But the former Rapid Vienna striker only arrived at Ibrox this morning and his readiness will be assessed before Walter Smith selects his squad.

Lee McCulloch returns from suspension but Kyle Lafferty is banned and Andy Webster (hamstring) remains on the sidelines.
