Belgrove face depleted Saints in cup tie

St Patrick’s Athletic take on non-league survivors Belgrove in the FAI Ford Cup fourth round clash at Richmond Park, kick-off 7.45pm.

For Saints, Dave Mulcahy (hamstring), Paul Byrne (ankle) are out, while Danny North (knee) is doubtful.

Garret O’Connor and Chris Bennion are also missing as both players are cup-tied.

Ryan Guy and Conor Kenna both sustained knocks to the head against Sporting Fingal and will undergo medical checks ahead of today’s game.

Saints boss Pete Mahon said: “People will expect us to win against Belgrove, but we will have to be prepared and certainly show them respect.

“John Gill and myself must always ensure that our players are prepared mentally and physically as well as they can possibly be regardless of who we are playing.”

Belgrove must plan without Keith Dawson as he is suspended for the trip to Inchicore.
