A late winner from Derek Doyle saw St. Pat’s come from behind to end their poor recent run to stay second in the table.

Sporting skipper Shaun Williams volleyed his side in front on 34mins.

Williams then had a goal disallowed early in the second half which seemed to turn the game in Saints' favour.

Vinny Faherty levelled on the hour when he backheeled to the net from Ian Bermingham’s cross.

Three minutes later midfielder David McAllister worked a one-two with Faherty to shoot Saints in front.

In a cracking match, Conan Byrne levelled for Sporting on 76mins when drilling to the net after Gary O’Neill played him in on goal.

But there would be a sting in the tail and it came St. Pat’s way right on 90mins.

McAllister was again involved as his cross was met by Doyle who looped a header past Gary Rogers to give Saints a massive three points.
