St. Pat's put the brakes on free-scoring Sligo as these two highfliers had to settle for a point apiece from an entertaining scoreless draw at Richmond Park.

Sligo were the better side in the first half with ex-Cameroon international Joseph Ndo firing a free-kick narrowly over the Saints' bar. Fellow African attacker Romuald Boco also came close for Rovers.

Saints had their moments as well with Vinny Faherty, Ryan Guy and Ian Bermingham all having efforts on goal as Pete Mahon's side shaded the second half.

The draw keeps St. Pat's second in the table on goal difference ahead of Bohemians, but allows Shamrock Rovers to move five points clear at the top. Sligo drop back to fifth.
