Fingal made to work for win
Sporting Fingal 1 Dundalk 0
Shaun Williams scored a second half winner to move Sporting Fingal up to third place in the table as Dundalk's run without a win stretched to eight games at Morton Stadium.
Dundalk had the better of the first half with Sporting keeper Darren Quigley saving well from Wayne Hatswell's free-kick before Matthew Tipton missed a sitter.
The only goal of the game arrived six minutes into the second half when Dundalk failed to defend an Ollie Cahill free-kick on the right and skipper Williams scored with a diving header.
Dundalk finished with ten men when Tom Miller was sent off for a second booking.
