Campbell poised to complete Magpies move

Sol Campbell could be confirmed as a Newcastle player today after the former England defender appeared to have chosen to continue his long career with a move to St James’ Park.

The 35-year-old was set to undergo a medical in the north-east yesterday and he is on the verge of joining the Barclays Premier League club just a year after starting the season in League Two at Notts County.
