Ollie Cahill’s low cross was touched on by Kevin Dawson and Eamon Zayed toe-poked Sporting into an 18th minute lead.
Drogheda were deservedly level on 39mins.
John Flood’s cross was controlled well by Peter McMahon who blasted past Darren Quigley.
The game then turned in Drogs’ favour a minute before the break when Sporting had Keith Quinn sent off for a second booking following a foul on McNally.
Flood headed against a post before Drogs had Eoghan Osbourne sent off for a second booking on 83 mins.
McNally then won it for Drogs four minutes later when stabbing home after Quigley parried a header from Mick Daly from McMahon’s free-kick.
