Spanish squad to parade World Cup trophy
The plane carrying the World Cup winning Spanish squad home from South Africa has landed in Madrid.
Keeper Iker Casillas and coach Vicente del Bosque were the first to emerge from the plane shortly after it landed.
The crowd at the airport cheered when Casillas raised the golden trophy in the air.
The players will have a brief siesta before a reception hosted by Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero.
More than a million fans are expected to line the streets for an open-top bus parade this evening.
