Kolarov can go for right price
Lazio president Claudio Lotito is ready to negotiate Aleksandar Kolarov’s departure provided the right offer comes along.
The Serbia international is under contract for a further season with the Serie A outfit and is a reported target of Manchester City and Real Madrid.
“Kolarov is not a free agent,” said Lotito to GR Parlamento. “If it was down to me, I would not sell him.
“But if he wants to leave, he needs to bring an offer from a team that grants a fair economic solution.”
Reports in Italy claimed Lazio turned down a £12m bid from Real Madrid earlier this month to sign the 24-year-old left back.
“Those that claim that I am asking €50m for the player are mistaken,” said Lotito.
“I am ready to discuss a solution that takes into account the wishes of everyone involved.
“Kolarov is a good man and we have no intention to block his career growth but we have to bear in mind the needs of everyone involved.
“I am available to look at offers.”
Kolarov has been a regular first-team player since 2007 when he joined Lazio from OFK Beograd.
Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is a big fan of the powerful Kolarov, who can also play in midfield.
