O'Donnell strike enough for Galway to beat Drogs

Stephen O'Donnell was Galway's local hero with a stunning free kick to beat Drogheda at Hunky Dory's Park.

The only goal came after 16 minutes when Karl Sheppard won a free-kick and O'Connell beat Paul Murphy with a terrific strike to the right top corner of the net.

Ryan Brennan was excellent all night for Drogheda who deserved a point.

But the closest they came was on 83 minutes when Brennan's header whistled over the bar.
