Kirk Broadfoot has agreed a new three-year deal with Rangers which keeps him at the club until 2013, the Clydesdale Bank Premier League champions have announced.

Kirk Broadfoot has agreed a new three-year deal with Rangers which keeps him at the club until 2013, the Clydesdale Bank Premier League champions have announced.

The former St Mirren defender was out of contract and had been linked with a move to Blackpool and Portsmouth.

The news will come as a boost for Rangers fans who are bracing themselves for the loss of teenage stopper Danny Wilson and Algeria’s World Cup defender Madjid Bougherra.
