Thompson returns to Parkhead

Celtic have today confirmed Alan Thompson as their new first team coach.

The 36-year-old joins Neil Lennon’s backroom staff after the former captain was announced as permanent manager last week.

Thompson spent seven years as a player at Parkhead between 2000-07.

He will be presented to the media at a press conference this afternoon.
