Robinho has taken time off from his World Cup preparations with Brazil to say he would be open to linking up with former Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster at Besiktas.

Schuster, who coached Madrid from 2007 to 2008, took charge of the Turkish side on Thursday and confirmed his interest in taking Robinho to the club.

Robinho was loaned to Santos last season from Manchester City after a difficult relationship with manager Roberto Mancini.

Speaking to reporters, he revealed he is open to moving to Turkey. “If Schuster is there, I could go too,” he said.
