United welcome back trio for Cup game with Malahide

Galway United take on non-league Malahide United in the FAI Ford Cup third round at Terryland Park tonight, kick-off 7.45pm.

United boss Sean Connor will be happy to welcome back Rhys Meynell, Karl Sheppard and Barry Ryan back into the squad.

Meynell and Ryan return after serving a suspension, while Sheppard has come back from Ukraine where he was playing for the Ireland Under-19s.

The odds are stacked against Leinster Senior League side Malahide ahead of their trip to Galway.

Not only are the Dublin club in the middle of their close season, but they also have had a poor season finishing second last in the LSL Senior Division, winning just one of their last ten fixtures.
