Bohs dominate against Bray

Bray Wanderers 0 Bohemians 2

An early own goal and a late strike from Killian Brennan moved champions Bohemians back up into the top half of the table tonight, just three points behind leaders Dundalk with a game in hand.

It was one-way traffic from the off as Bray keeper Brian Kane and defender Daire Doyle made brilliant saves and blocks in quick succession from Jason Byrne, twice, and Brennan before Bohs took the lead on 13 minutes.

Mark Quigley’s flick from a Gareth McGlynn cross was mis-directed into his own net by Doyle.

Byrne missed a couple of sitter while, remarkably, defender Ken Oman hit the same post twice inside 30 seconds just before half-time.

Bohs remained well on top into the second half, without created very many chances.

A second goal did arrive on 86 minutes however, when Brian Shelley’s cross was only partially cleared and Brennan drilled a crisp shot to the net from just outside the box.
