Keane upbeat after friendly success

Republic of Ireland captain Robbie Keane believes his side’s 3-0 friendly victory over Algeria at the RDS in Dublin can provide a big boost ahead of their Euro 2012 qualification campaign.

Keane netted twice, with one of his goals coming from the spot, on his 99th cap to add to Paul Green’s first-half header as the hosts secured a comfortable win over their toothless opponents.
