Dundalk's Kelly drafted into U-23 squad
Dundalk defender Shaun Kelly has been called into the Republic of Ireland Under-23 squad to face England at the RSC next Wednesday.
Kelly replaces Karl Sheppard of Galway United, who has been called into the Republic of Ireland Under-19 squad for the UEFA European Championship Elite Phase qualifiers in Ukraine.
Kelly has been drafted into the squad having impressed during last Tuesday’s training match between the Under-23 squad and Giovanni Trapattoni’s training camp squad.
The Republic of Ireland Under-23s face England at the RSC on Wednesday in their opening match of the International Challenge Trophy.
Tickets are €13 for adults and €4 for Under 16s and are available through Ticketmaster or Alfie Hale’s sport shop, 40-42 Arundel Square, Waterford.
