Diego Milito’s goal gave Inter Milan a half-time lead over Bayern Munich in the Champions League final in Madrid.

Milito combined well with Wesley Sneijder in the 34th minute before slamming a rising shot past Bayern goalkeeper Hans-Jorg Butt.

In a battle between two clubs chasing historic trebles, Inter edged the first half at the Bernabeu with Butt twice denying Sneijder.
