Former St Pat's player Murphy wins cup for Bohs
St. Patrick's Athletic 0 Bohemians 1
Anto Murphy came back to haunt St. Pat's as the twice former Saint scored the only goal to give Bohemians the Setanta Sports Cup before a crowd of 3,896 at Tallaght Stadium.
Roared on by the bigger support, St.Pat's started well with chances falling to Vinny Faherty and Paul Byrne.
But Bohs settled and responded with their best spell of the match which won them the game.
Jason Byrne initially brought a terrific save from Gary Rogers in the St. Pat's goal before Bohs got their winner on 24 minutes.
Murphy first won the corner and then got on the end of Killlian Brennan's delivery to head home at the near post.
Gareth Coughlan shaved the bar for Saints early in the second half while Faherty and then Conor Kenna had shots bravely blocked as Bohs held out for victory.
