Waterford native and Man Utd defender John O'Shea has admitted that he has been impressed by Waterford United this season.

It comes as Blues boss Stephen Henderson eyes a victory for his side in the South-East derby tonight.

O'Shea said: "They've been doing amazing; they got some local lads coming to the fore and some much-needed experience in George O'Callaghan and he's brought some flair and added to what they already had.

"Scoring some great goals and beating Shels away; fingers crossed they can do the business this year."

Wexford Youths host Waterford United at 8pm in Ferrycarrig Park.

O'Shea was speaking with Beat 102-103's Sport Editor Martin Clancy ahead of tonights game.
