A blunder by Bray keeper Brian Kane saw his attempted clearance strike the in rushing Vinny Faherty to fly back past him and into the net.

Kane redeemed himself with a terrific save from Williams volley with Dave Webster clearing Faherty’s follow-up off the line.

Shane O’Connor then also had to clear off the Bray line on 54mins from Williams who looked set to score from Gareth Coughlan’s pass.

Kane was there again with an acrobatic tip-over save from Conor Sinnott before St. Patrick’s got their second goal on 68mins following a comedy of errors in the Bray defence.

Dave Webster initially sliced a back pass, left-back Dane Massey’s attempted clearance then ricocheted off Coughlan for Williams to round Kane and roll the ball home.
