Carlisle doubt for Clarets
Burnley defender Clarke Carlisle is manager Brian Laws’ only doubt for Sunday’s vital Barclays Premier League showdown with Liverpool at Turf Moor on Sunday.
Carlisle turned his right ankle in training this week and is now wearing a pot as protection, suggesting he is unlikely to play.
Striker David Nugent sat out training today as he is nursing a tight hamstring that saw him miss Saturday’s defeat at Sunderland, but is scheduled to train tomorrow and should figure against Rafael Benitez’s side.
