Sligo look to avenge Cup knockout

Sligo Rovers travel to Richmond Park to face St Patrick's Athletic tonight, looking to avenge their Setanta Cup semi-final defeat to Pete Mahon’s side (kick-off 7.35pm).

Rovers can give a debut to Joesph N'do at Inchicore tonight as the former Cameroon international has received clearance from the FAI.

The Bit o' Red have no injury doubts or suspensions for the game.

For St Pat’s, Ryan Guy, Dave Mulcahy, Stuart Byrne and Damien Lynch were all rested for Tuesday night’s 4-0 win over Bray at the Carlisle Grounds and they are all expected to come back into the starting line-up.

Midfielder Byrne was struggling with a back injury but is expected to be available for selection and without any player suspensions, the Saints boss will have a full squad to choose from.

Saints boss Mahon said: “It's not ideal to be playing a team three times in such a short space of time and my players will have to guard against a backlash.

“Sligo are the only unbeaten team in the Premier League, so if you want to know how good they are, look no further than that statistic.”
