Benitez launches Ngog defence

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has warned critics not to judge striker David Ngog by Fernando Torres’ standards and backed the youngster to continue improving.

The 21-year-old Frenchman is likely to see plenty of action between now and the end of the season with Torres sidelined by a second knee operation in three months.
