Duo to miss out for Sligo Rovers
Sligo Rovers may be without both Iarfhlaith Davoren and Paul Whelan for tonight’s clash with Dundalk at The Showgrounds (kick-off: 7.45pm).
Davoren was substituted in the draw with Drogheda United on Friday after the left-back picked up an injury. Whelan missed the game entirely because of a quad muscle problem.
Gavin Peers returns from suspension after missing the Drogheda match.
Rovers remain unbeaten in the league so far this season with four draws and one win on the board.
Dundalk boss Ian Foster was upset that Friday’s game in Galway was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
Foster will, however, have a strong and fresh squad for their trip to The Showgrounds with most players available for selection.
Dundalk will, once again, have to plan without midfielder Alan Cawley who is recovering from a fractured cheekbone.
Tiarnán Mulvenna will also miss out on the trip to the northwest, the striker remains out with a knee injury.
