Sligo face Drogheda without suspended defender
Sligo Rovers defender Gavin Peers will miss the match with Drogheda United tonight at Hunky Dorys Park, kick-off 7.45pm.
The defender was sent off in last week's 0-0 draw with Bohemians at Dalymount Park but he will be available for Monday's Bank Holiday clash with Dundalk at The Showgrounds.
Paul Whelan returns from injury and will compete with Danny Ventre to start at right-back.
The Bit o' Red are still waiting on Joseph Ndo's work permit application and he is unlikely to be involved in Drogheda.
Rovers will be looking to maintain an unbeaten start to the campaign that includes impressive draws with Shamrock Rovers, Sporting Fingal and Bohs.
For Drogheda, Corie Tracey and Joe Kendrick are both doubts, while John Flood is suspended for the clash.
Otherwise, manager Alan Mathews has a full squad to choose from.
Mathews said: “We haven’t got much depth to the squad at the moment, so it’s good that a lot of players are fit again, especially with the fixtures coming up.
“We’ve had very disappointing results recently, but we are training hard which is what we always do.
“We can only just knuckle down and do our best. Sligo are a good squad and always give us a good game.”
