Arshavin reveals new injury

Arsenal’s hopes of domestic and European glory have been dealt another setback as Russian playmaker Andrey Arshavin confirmed he expected to miss up to three weeks with a calf problem suffered in the dramatic 2-2 Champions League quarter-final clash against Barcelona.

The Gunners are anxiously awaiting the outcome of scans on captain Cesc Fabregas, who fears his season – and possibly World Cup hopes – may be over after suffering what could be a broken leg as his side battled back from 2-0 down to snatch a draw to take to the Nou Camp next week.
