The Celtic striker was joined by Diomansy Kamara, Edson Braafheid and teenage stoppers Josh Thompson and Thomas Rogne, in making their first appearance in a Glasgow derby.

Rangers keeper Allan McGregor was fit enough to take his place between the sticks following an attack after a night out last weekend.

Ibrox boss Walter Smith, as expected, went with Kris Boyd and Kenny Miller as his strike-force with Kyle Lafferty supporting from left midfield.

Subs: Zaluska, Samaras, Wilson, Ki, Rasmussen, Zhi, O’Dea.

Referee: D McDonald (Scotland)
