Win sees Bohs top Setanta Cup group

A stunning goal from Mark Rossiter was the highlight as Bohemians all but secured their berth in the semi-finals of Setanta Sports Cup as they came from behind at the Showgrounds.

In-form Rory Patterson gave Coleraine the ideal start with the lead goal after just two minutes.

But Bohs settled and soon responded when skipper Owen Heary levelled in the 27th minute.

Bohs flew out of the blocks on the resumption to take the lead on 47 minutes with a terrific drive from outside the box from defender Rossiter.

In a one-sided game, Paddy Madden punished a slip by Coleraine keeper Laurence McCormick to add Bohs’ third goal eight minutes from time.

The win puts Pat Fenlon’s side three points clear of Glentoran in Group 2 ahead of the Belfast side’s trip to Dalymount Park for the final game in the pool on March 13th.
