McCarthy and Bramble a doubt for Wigan

Republic of Ireland midfielder James McCarthy and Titus Bramble are both doubtful for Wigan's Barclays Premier League trip to Birmingham tomorrow.

Central defender Bramble is still struggling with the hamstring injury that forced him to miss last week’s defeat by Tottenham.

In-form midfielder McCarthy, this week called up by Giovanni Trapattoni, took an ankle knock against Spurs and will be assessed.

Manager Roberto Martinez otherwise has a fully-fit squad available as the Latics look to end a six match winless run.
