Fulham lead Burnley by two at half time

Two first-half goals from Danny Murphy and David Elm poured on the agony for Burnley at Craven Cottage.

The visitors, still searching for their first away win of the season, found themselves outplayed from the start.

Murphy pounced to open the scoring in the 23rd minute and eight minutes later Elm made it two when he slipped the ball past Brian Jensen from close range.

Burnley’s best effort was a free-kick from Tyrone Mears which hit the angle of post and bar.
