Melchiot a doubt for Wigan

Wigan captain Mario Melchiot remains an injury doubt ahead of the Latics’ FA Cup fourth-round replay against Notts County tomorrow.

Melchiot missed Saturday’s defeat against Everton with a neck problem that he sustained in the previous match at Blackburn, and could still be sidelined for the visit of League Two County to the DW Stadium.

Maynor Figueroa took a stud to the foot towards the end of the Everton game and is rated as 50-50 to play tomorrow night.

Goalkeeper Chris Kirkland is still recovering from his collarbone injury and is not expected back until the weekend at the earliest, while Steven Gohouri faces a late fitness test after picking up a hamstring problem.

New signing Victor Moses will have to wait for his Wigan debut as he is cup-tied, having already appeared for Crystal Palace in the competition this season.
