Doyle: McCarthy decision justified

Kevin Doyle believes Mick McCarthy’s decision to rest his first-team stars in midweek paid dividends in today’s 2-0 defeat of Burnley.

Nenad Milijas and Republic of Ireland striker Doyle were on target as Wolves moved out of the Barclays Premier League bottom three, just a few days after McCarthy had come in for heavy criticism for changing all 10 outfield players in the 3-0 reverse at Manchester United.
