Good news for City's Kompany and Johnson

Manchester City midfield duo Vincent Kompany and Michael Johnson both came through a 90-minute reserve team workout at Blackburn last night.

The pair are still trying to establish themselves as regular members of Mark Hughes’ starting line-up after early season injuries and are now pushing for a place in Saturday’s Barclays Premier League encounter with Hull, when City will look to end a run of six successive draws.
