Bolton manager Gary Megson made four changes to his side for the derby against Blackburn at the Reebok Stadium today.

Megson decided to shake up his team following the 5-1 thumping by Aston Villa in their last match before the international break.

Jlloyd Samuel and Andy O’Brien returned to the defence while Gavin McCann and Johan Elmander were also included.

With Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce preparing to have heart surgery, his assistant Neil McDonald took charge.

They showed one change to the side that beat Portsmouth with Jason Roberts coming in for Morten Gamst Pedersen.

Bolton: Jaaskelainen, Ricketts, Cahill, Andrew O’Brien, Samuel, Taylor, Muamba, McCann, Gardner, Elmander, Kevin Davies.

Subs: Al Habsi, Knight, Steinsson, Mark Davies, Klasnic, Lee, Basham.

Blackburn: Robinson, Chimbonda, Samba, Nelsen, Givet, Dunn, Nzonzi, Emerton, Diouf, Di Santo, Roberts.

Subs: Brown, Jacobsen, McCarthy, Grella, Andrews, Kalinic, Salgado.
