Cork City 2 Dundalk 1

Cork City 2 Dundalk 1

Faz Kuduzovic kept Cork City on course for Europe with a penalty winner as Dundalk had another two players sent off at Turner’s Cross tonight.

Paul Doolin’s Leesiders need just one point from their final game at Galway United next week to finish third in the table and make the Europa League next season.

Dundalk took the lead on 21 minutes with a stunning goal from long range from Shaun Kelly.

A minute before the interval Cork’s Danny Murphy and Paul McAreavey of Dundalk both saw red after being singled out following a scuffle.

Cork levelled seven minutes into the second half when central defender Kevin Long headed home Kuduzovic’s cross after Billy Dennehy’s shot hit a post.

Kuduzovoc then won it for City on 66 minutes when slotting home a spot kick after being brought down by Kelly who was then sent off before the end for a second booking.
