Cork win boosts Europa hopes
Shamrock Rovers 1 Cork City 2
Cork City gave their Europa League hopes a huge boost as they ended leaders Shamrock Rovers' unbeaten run at Tallaght Stadium.
Rovers had a dream start as they took the lead through defender Pat Sullivan, a former City player, after just three minutes.
But Cork, whose players only travelled to the capital after receiving overdue wages, dominated the game and levelled through winger Billy Dennehy on 65 minutes.
Cork continued to dominate proceedings and duly got the winner on 76 minutes through midfielder Shane Duggan.
