Torres out of Champions League tie

Liverpool will be without Fernando Torres for the second game in succession when they face French league leaders Lyon in the Champions League at Anfield tomorrow.

Torres is again sidelined with a groin injury as Liverpool bid to end a run of three straight defeats but captain Steven Gerrard will return after missing Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Sunderland, also with a groin problem.

Javier Mascherano and Emiliano Insua are both expected to start the Group E match having only been on the bench at the Stadium of Light.
