Sligo Rovers 1 Bray Wanderers 0
Eoin Doyle’s second-half goal tonight earned Sligo their third win on the spin to lift them out of the relegation play-off zone for the first time in more than four months.
In-form Sligo utterly dominated the first half, forcing nine corners and twice hitting the Bray woodwork, the first on 33 minutes when Doyle and Romu Boco set-up Richie Ryan to shoot against the outside of a post.
Chris O’Connor’s goal had another let-off three minutes before the break when Raff Cretaro laid the ball off to Matt Blinkhorn who turned and shaved the crossbar when he really should have scored.
Bottom-of-the-table Bray were much better from the resumption, but were left to rue two missed chances from Gary McCabe as Sligo got their winner on 72 minutes.
Defender Dane Massey slipped after saving a corner and Dean Marshall crossed for Doyle to head home.
