Rapid Vienna scrap plan to wear red kit

Rapid Vienna have scrapped a controversial plan to wear an all-red kit when they face Celtic in the Europa League.

The Austrian side had been planning to resurrect the strip they wore when the teams had a bad-tempered meeting in 1984.

Celtic won the tie, but UEFA ordered a replay after a Rapid player was caught cheating and Celtic subsequently lost the re-match.
