Trembling: Sol rushed to County decision

Notts County executive chairman Peter Trembling admitted Sol Campbell may have rushed his decision to drop down to League Two after the former Portsmouth defender’s equally hasty exit from the club yesterday.

The club confirmed the 35-year-old had left Meadow Lane by mutual consent just five weeks after signing a five-year contract reputedly worth £40,000 a week. Press Association Sport understands the player must now wait until January to start playing again.
