Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has tonight named an unchanged side for their opening Champions League match at home to newcomers Debrecen, his 300th match in charge.

Argentina midfielder Javier Mascherano, who missed Saturday’s 4-0 victory over Burnley with a pelvic injury, has been named on the bench for the visit of the Hungarians, making their debut in the group stages of the competition.

Left-back Fabio Aurelio is named among the substitutes, his first appearance in the squad this season after a knee injury.
