Whelan and Lawrence in fitness race

Stoke boss Tony Pulis will also assess the fitness of Republic of Ireland duo Glenn Whelan and Liam Lawrence before his side's Premier League clash against Chelsea tomorrow.

James Beattie, Thomas Sorensen and Tuncay Sanli will also require late fitness tests to see if he can play any part in the game.
