Cork City captain Dan Murray has said that Cork City FC and its players and staff have reached an agreement on wages for the rest of the season.

Speaking on behalf of the players, Murray told CorkCityFC.ie: “We are pleased to have come to an agreement with the club regarding payment of wages.

"We can now focus all of our attention on finishing this season as high up the league table as we can and qualifying for Europe.”

While a number of clubs have sought to implement pay cuts, Cork City Football Club said it "is determined to pay the players and staff all monies owed to them up to the end of the season".

With Friday night’s league match against Galway United fast approaching, we would once again encourage supporters to come out in force and support the club and the players.
