Drogheda United 0 Cork City 1

Drogheda United 0 Cork City 1

Eric McGill put through is own goal to gift Cork City a big three points at United Park tonight.

Midfielder McGill, only recently signed by Drogheda, shot past his own keeper Steve Williams on 76 minutes as he attempted to cut out a cross from Cork winger Billy Dennehy.

That was harsh on Drogheda as they shaded the first half in which City's Greg O’Halloran had to clear off the line from Ian Ryan’s header.

Drogheda ended the game with 10 men after midfielder Paul Shiels was sent off on 90 minutes following an off-the-ball incident.
