Skipper Stiliyan Petrov has urged Aston Villa to show their dismal performance against Wigan was “a one-off” by qualifying for the group stages of the Europa League.

Villa were booed off the pitch after Saturday’s 2-0 home reversal against the Latics in their opening Barclays Premier League encounter.
