Monaghan hold Pat's to a replay

Ireland Under-17 international goalkeeper Aaronn McCarey kept a fifth clean sheet in a row as First Division Monaghan frustrated St. Patrick’s at Kingspan Century Park.

McCarey made a stunning save on 38 minutes when diving full stretch to stop Damian Lynch’s 25-yard drive.

Monaghan then had a terrific double chance seven minutes from time.

Cathal O’Connor initially brought a good stop from Gary Rogers in the Saints’ goal with Dave Partridge then blocking O’Connor’s follow-up.

The replay is scheduled for Richmond Park on Monday night.
