Derry defeat sends Sligo second-bottom
Sligo Rovers 0 Derry City 4
Mark Farren hit a late brace to rub Sligo’s noses in it as Paul Cook’s side slipped second bottom and further into the relegation mire.
It was the second time in successive games that Sligo conceded four goals.
David Scullion put Derry in front on 54 minutes and they never looked back once skipper Peter Hutton doubled that nine minutes later.
Farren then rowed in with his brace on 74 and 83 minutes to give Derry a deserved first win in six league games.
